"Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power" - When I think of the power that the Lord provides us, the one verse that comes to mind is this: "Now to him who is able to strengthen you by my Gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ..." (Rom. 16:25ff). The power and the strength that I seek is that which is made available to me through the gospel of Jesus Christ - this is further confirmed by the context of Eph. 6:10 - for the full armor of God stands on, is found in, and depends entirely upon the Gospel of Jesus Christ - how he lived to make me righteous, and how he died to bear my punishment.
In my estimation, "His mighty power" is referring to Jesus Christ! We can't do anything worthwhile under our own power!
